Nafrini is a multifaceted talent who was raised by a mom and grandmother who loved and always played a wide variety of music such as: Blues, R&B, and Gospel. At the young age of five she knew music was what she wanted to do. She would use a hairbrush as a microphone and sing in the mirror along to her favorite artists. This includes the likes of: Mary J. Blige, TLC, and Whitney Houston just to name a few. At the age of 14 she auditioned for the music department at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts singing “Don’t Take it Personal” by Monica and was accepted into their prestigious vocal choir. Additionally, this would be where she gained an appreciation for other aspects of music as well.
Hip-Hop is one of said aspects. She discovered that she could hang with her male peers and began rapping in the lunchrooms, school yard, etc. She created a buzz among her fellow music associates and would begin to also perform rap solos and features for her church peers during Sunday service and music programs. Post high school, she decided to shift gears and exercise her acting abilities. She would go on to star in a few local theatre plays and short films.
Due to a few disappointing endeavors; Natasha placed the entertainment world on hold to try her hand in other realms. She began modeling as a Glamour/Artistic/Beauty model in her hometown as well as surrounding areas like Chicago. She added radio to her repertoire too when she became the host of Tasha’s Taste on Tone DefRadio. This journey would introduce her to other creative individuals who would reignite her passion and love for music. Now she is out to show the world what she can do via her first true love. With no desires to be boxed in or labeled, the multi-talented diva is focused on bringing beauty back to the arts in her own unique way!
